Located in the historic Hilgen & Schroeder Mill Store at the corner of Portland and Columbia Roads, the Cedarburg History Museum creates unique spaces for permanent installments, rotating exhibits, and interactive technology. It addition to housing the museum the location is the headquarters of the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce and serves as the Cedarburg Visitor Center.
In 2015, a vision became a reality when a local benefactor offered the building as a place to house the History Museum and the Center. From there, the Cedarburg Landmarks Preservation Society brought the building back to its original condition.
